Take it off, put it back
Solar Panel Removal and Reinstallation in Harvey
Panels sitting where the roofer has to work? We pull them, store them and put them back on with every mount re-flashed.
Why Can't the Roofer Just Work Around the Panels?
Because there's no way to tear off and replace shingles that are sitting under a solar array. The panels have to come off, somebody has to take care of them while the roof gets done, and then they've got to go back on so the system runs like it did. That's a detach and reset, and it's the main thing we do at Solar Panel Removal Harvey. Here's how it goes. First, the power gets shut down and the system disconnected the right way, because you don't pull panels off a live system. Then the panels, the racking and the conduit come off the roof. Every panel gets a tag with the spot it came from and goes on a written list with the rails and hardware, so nothing gets mixed up. While your roofer works, it all sits in storage. When the new roof's on, we put in new mounts, flash every hole we make through the roof, put the racking back and set every panel where it was. We hook it all back up, then test it to make sure it's producing. You get the paperwork showing what we did. If you're in Harvey or close by and a new roof's coming, call us before the roofer shows up.

Shutdown done right
Power off and the system disconnected before a panel comes loose.
Panels, racking and conduit off
Everything comes down so your roofer's got a clean roof to work.

We put it back up
When the new roof's on, we put in new mounts and flashing, set the panels back where they were, hook it up and check that it's producing.
